Pokémon Ranger: Shadow of Almia sendo o segundo game da série Ranger, traz mais uma aventura em uma região totalmente nova conhecida como Almia. Apesar de Almia não possuir Pokémons novos e exclusivos, há uma grande quantidade de mistérios a serem resolvidos e grandes locais para serem explorados. O diferencial de Pokémon Ranger, é que no game você não batalha contra treinadores e Pokémons selvagens, onde é possível apenas ''capturá-los''. Esses Pokémons te ajudarão a atravessar rios, cortar árvores que estejam em seu caminho, ou até mesmo destruir grandes rochas, uma vez que você se você utilizar as habilidades desse Pokémon ele te deixará. Portanto você sempre terá um Pokémon definitivo em seu time para te acompanhar por toda jornada.
